Bacterial Vaginosis Home Remedies - Should I Use Them In Trying To Treat My Recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis?

Question from a BV sufferer:

Ok i don't douche and wear pantie liners. I'm very clean but periodically i get this terrible bacterial vaginosis thing, and this time i know it's because i didn't pee after i had sex. I just have one partner not several.

So my question is: I'm very irritated and itchy. I take showers I just read that soap doesn't help so i will avoid that during the next shower, besides the yogurt soaked tampons or just eating it. What can i do like other anti-itching remedies. I heard of baking soda vinegar and water what's that and what do i do insert or what

They only thing i have been using is vagisil which works but my hairs are growing back and irritating it but skins too sore for shaving but the hair isn't a big problem. So i have been today using Vaseline and now baby diaper cream it's helping out a little but i want my cooch to normal without a doctor.

Answer from a specialist:
The above question and cry just explains how women suffer everyday with bacterial Vaginosis and don't really know how to treat it; so this infection goes away and never comes back to disturb them.

I am a retired nurse epidemiologist in STDs. BV most of the time is "gardnerella" which is a bacterial that is in the vagina in a very small amount and really causes no problem until something happens to make it over grow and then you get the vaginal discharge that smells like dead fish, burning with urination. It is NOT an STD.

I found some successful home cures for it which I will give a link to the website. However it really does take an antibiotic called Flagyl to cure it, but most women complain of reoccurrence after using flaggy. You could also have a yeast infection at the same time. DO NOT try baking soda and vinegar as one cancels out the other. I don't know your reason for shaving as it is an invitation for more problems. Douching will only push everything up further. Planned Parenthood or the local health dept. is worth a try, money wise.

There is also this great and effective BV cure guide which teaches women how to naturally treat this condition. I have recommended this guide so many women and most of them had success with it in curing their BV. It is called the bacterial Vaginosis Freedom guide.
