this product is so bad it doesn't merit even one star... a cosmetic tools are not done good so it doesn't go together well....it sits curved and looks bad...i have one from an progressing time and it's not as bad....i realize that platic is not going to be as good as a steel one though it should during slightest go together good and not demeanour like a "drunken salior"...it does give one postponement as to grouping anything from Dritz...thinking they might be perplexing to keep a low cost and have defective manufacting.....i bought one from a internal coverlet emporium and i couldn't even get a screw out of a bottom to put a rod in a base....so i'm meditative that Dritz needs to re-think their source...

5Great! Saves me a lot of income on thread

By Ali Julia

This cone thread hilt is a elementary device that saves me a lot of income by vouchsafing me use cone thread rather than unchanging spools. we use a hilt on daily basement and it works perfectly. we was astounded to see some disastrous reviews, we did not confront a released described.

Cone thread hilt binds a cone of thread on a steel peg extrinsic into a middle. A high arm binds a thread to a turn that allows normal spooling into a machine. we use a hilt with Maxi Lock cone thread. It works excellent with a full thread and with roughly dull thread.

I use a hilt for dual purposes:
(1) we use it to reason a tip thread when we am sewing.
(2) we use it to breeze a axis thread while a thread is entrance from a cone on a holder.

I suggest this product.

3/4/11 update: we am attaching a print display a thread hilt during work in my sewing room

It works, though we will need to fill both spindles with cone thread to keep it from drifting all over your sewing area and it usually comes with one shaft Adding a steel weight will also work, as a cosmetic is only too lightweight for unsentimental functions as-is. You can put a round indicate coop in a hole that should reason a other spindle, or a dial stick, or steel spindle. Dissappointing, generally since we found a steel one during a same cost that came with a second spindle.
