RECEPTION:

You initial have to know that my 4S is unbarred on a T-Mobile network. we have beheld that yet any case, antennagate still exists (3-4 bars will drop). we have bought 2 iPhones -- one from Apple's website and another from Apple's sell store -- and BOTH do a same thing. This does not start with any other iPhone on any other carrier, so this leads me to trust that antennagate has not been resolved if we are on T-Mobile. Why? we have no idea, yet it's unequivocally irritating and is a categorical reason given we started looking for a box (cases resolved antennagate for a iPhone 4).

With that said, a Graft Leverage fender box fixes my receiver issue. The Mindplar i+Case does not, yet a rate of bars dropping does is not done faster (if anything, it seems slower, yet this could be a remedy effect). Since we am on T-Mobile, we can not contend if accepting issues exist if we are on AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint. If anyone has this box and is on one of a 3 Apple-authorized carrier, greatfully let us know how your accepting is.

Also, if this box was done with plastic, there would positively be no accepting emanate with T-Mobile. Like with my cosmetic Graft Leverage case.

12-29-11 Update:

Field Test formula with my iPhone 4S naked, with a i+Case, and with a Draco IV:

Carrier: T-Mobile

Naked and not holding: -84 (4 bars)
Naked and holding: No Service (0 bars)
Naked and not holding again: -84 (4 bars)

With i+Case on and not holding: -96 (3 bars)
With i+Case on and holding: No Service (0 bars)
With i+Case on and not holding again: shoots right behind adult to -93 (3 bars) within seconds

With Draco IV and not holding: -96 (3 bars)
With Draco IV and holding: immediately forsaken to -130 yet afterwards after 5 seconds, it went behind adult to -99 (2 bars)! The new 4S receiver rope functionality (being means to switch antenna) works with a Draco IV yet not with a i+Case or when it's naked?
With Draco IV and not holding again: -94 (3 bars)

Taste is personal, yet we cruise this is by distant a best looking case. we like a Graft Leverage as well, yet we find it to be a small too corpulent and massive for my liking. The Graft Leverage does hoard a LOT of certain comments yet (I do have a chrome lever, so a gleam does attract courtesy though); we'll see how a Mindplar i+Case does in public.

QUALITY:

The courtesy to outmost fact is what unequivocally creates this box seem to be of well-developed quality. Just demeanour during these integrated buttons:

[...]

I unequivocally adore how a quiver switch lines adult flush with a tip together line. This is what we call good design. In my print above, a switch is set to have sound; if set to vibrate, a switch now lines adult flush with a bottom together line.

I also got to contend that we unequivocally adore a rocker character volume buttons as well.

All a buttons feel good as good and are unequivocally responsive.

However...

We've determined that a outmost peculiarity is amazing. One of my gripes is that while a edges of a 2 halves of a box totally overlie out of a box, when practical on a iPhone, this is no longer a box (no joke intended). The tighter a screws, a serve detached a overlap, so we done certain not to tie a screws too many to minimize this. Note how a edges are good and parsimonious in a corners yet -- that is given that is where a 4 screws are.

[...]

The designers might not have taken into comment a approach aluminum bends/warps when it is tighten. Obviously, adding screw joints in a center of these edges would keep these edges totally overlapping, yet that might detract from a coming too much. Another choice is to use a stiffer steel that won't hook as easily. Or a unequivocally unbending plastic.

Or maybe, a box isn't cut large adequate for a iPhone, hence a prominent edges. If that's a case, that's flattering horrible, and we have to consternation if we got a poor box or if this is box of pre-production blues.

PROTECTION:

There is lay for a behind yet nothing for a front. we cruise this was for coming reasons. Note this FAQ on kickstarter:

"How does a fender strengthen a phone?

Most falls typically finish adult distinguished a corner of a phone. It's really formidable to dump a phone together to a aspect and land flat. Most shade cracks start given of a indicate bucket on a perimeter.

[...]

You'll even see in a video above that when a shade burst there was a indicate bucket on a corner that caused it.

thanks"

Obviously, cases are a personal choice between insurance and appearance. For me, coming is many important. Only we can confirm for yourself if we wish an Otterbox, Graft Leverage, or a Mindplar i+Case.

EASE OF ASSEMBLY:

It's easy. I'll let a photos do a talking.

[...]

Just be clever with a screws -- they are VERY SMALL. They give we 6 in box we remove some.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Yes. You might have beheld a black froth inside a box in one of a photos. And we would think, as did I, that it's to stop vicious areas of a receiver rope from touching a aluminum. But on serve examination, it doesn't. The receiver rope ONLY creates hit with a box on a corners. The sides are indeed recessed and are radically filled with froth so that it's flush with a corners. That means that if we take a froth out, a sides STILL won't be touching a receiver band. LOLWTF?! What is a whole indicate of a froth then??? Observe:

[...]

The fit inside is also VERY tight. If we have any wraps on a receiver band, it will not fit (I had to take my iColorWrap off). However, given a box does not drain into a potion edges, and front and behind shade protectors can remain.

The headphone jack opening is also cut to a EXACT same specs as that on a iPhone. That means if we have a headphone/IEM/earbud with a jack that is thicker than that of a Apple earbuds, it's not going to fit. An choice is to get an adapter, yet that substantially gets irritating fast.

OVERALL SCORE:

Does it safety reception: With T-Mobile, no. With other carriers, unknown.
Appearance: 9/10
Quality: If a edges not totally overlapping are fixed, 9/10; currently, it is 7/10 (you might cruise a warping edges to be minor)
Protection: Protects all solely a front.
Ease of assembly: 8/10 (I find it fun to arrange as well)

CLOSING THOUGHTS:

* This is an extraordinary looking box with a minor/moderate smirch with a warping edges. Do not tie a screws too many to minimize this.

* If you're on T-Mobile, your accepting issues will continue. It doesn't make it worse though, and might presumably lessen slightly, yet nonetheless remain. On other carriers, we have no thought if accepting is affected.

* Mindplar, PLEASE MAKE A TOUGH PLASTIC VERSION OF THIS TO FIX THE BUCKLING EDGES AND T-MOBILE RECEPTION ISSUES.
