It is not formidable to see that Nancy Drew and a Hardy Boys had some change over a papers of late teacher, Erica Gore, though she has managed to pierce us what we adore about those stories into a new environment (Australian) with new and engaging characters.
There's copiousness in this story for middle-grade readers: 11-year-old Taya Bayliss is uprooted from her home and friends to pierce to a little fishing encampment in South Australia; she abandons residence manners to follow leads, that afterwards puts her and others in danger; dual internal boys make a trail formidable for a protagonist; and a puzzling aged lady who appears to know a sum of a blank treasure.
It's a well-constructed plot, and a author also hurdles readers to find something surprising or off-point in a story adding another covering of poser on tip of those a story binds for adventurous, extraordinary pre-teens.
